About the OG Generator
When someone shares your URL on social media, the platform reads Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags to build the link card — the title, description, and image preview. Missing or wrong tags mean broken previews, no image, or a generic title that kills click-through. This generator creates the tags for you and shows a live preview of the card before you publish.
How to use the Open Graph Generator
- 1Fill in the page URL, title, description, and image URL. The image should be at least 1200×630 pixels for best results.
- 2Optionally add a site name and Twitter handle for Twitter Card attribution.
- 3The live preview on the right shows how your link card will appear on social platforms.
- 4Click Copy to grab all the meta tags at once and paste them into your HTML head.
Best practices
- Use an image that is at least 1200×630 pixels. Smaller images may not render or may appear cropped on some platforms.
- Keep your OG title under 60 characters and your OG description under 200 characters to avoid truncation.
- Use og:image with an absolute URL including https. Relative URLs do not work for social crawlers.
- Add twitter:card set to summary_large_image for the large preview format on X.
- Test your tags with the social platform debuggers after deploying — Facebook Sharing Debugger and Twitter Card Validator catch issues fast.
